Valley View took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the La Quinta Blackhawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While Valley View won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why La Quinta lost, don't look at Gennesis Flores. Despite the final result, she had six aces, five kills, and five digs. Another player making a difference was Atia Moya, who had 15 assists and three digs.

Coming up, Valley View is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Fontana at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for La Quinta, they will challenge Imperial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
