Chariho extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jaxson Vachon. The Chargers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bishop Hendricken Hawks on Tuesday with plenty of help from Vachon, who had 19 digs and three aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season.
Chariho got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-30, 26-24, 27-25, 25-21.
Chariho's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Stolt, who had eight kills, five digs, and four aces. Those four aces gave Stolt a new career-high.
They weren't the only good server: Chariho was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
When it comes to explaining why Bishop Hendricken lost, don't look at Santiago Harrington. Despite the final result, he had 14 digs and five assists.
