For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Saltillo and North Pontotoc have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Vikings. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

CAMERON RODGERS tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on TUCKER PHILLIPS, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. EJAY ROGERS also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.

Saltillo's record now sits at 17-3. As for North Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saltillo will square off against Lake Cormorant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saltillo is facing Lake Cormorant at the right time seeing as Lake Cormorant is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for North Pontotoc, they will face off against Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
