Basketball Recap: Monroe Area Comes Up Short

Monroe Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-18 loss at the hands of the East Hall Vikings. The matchup marked the Purple Hurricanes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for East Hall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Monroe Area has already played their next contest (against Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Hall is taking a road trip to face off against Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee Bluff knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Hall likes a good challenge.
