Baseball Game Preview: Glenbrook Apaches vs. Loyola College Prep Flyers

The Glenbrook Apaches will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Loyola College Prep Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Glenbrook is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They came up short against Loyola College Prep on Saturday, falling 14-6.

Easton Sanders put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Sanders was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing one base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jackson Waller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Preston Frye, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
