Preview: West Carrollton Pirates vs. Greenville Green Wave

After three games on the road, West Carrollton is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Greenville Green Wave at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, West Carrollton came up short against Tippecanoe and fell 50-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Carrollton in their matchups with Tippecanoe: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Greenville, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-38 walloping at the hands of Stebbins on Tuesday.

Despite their loss, Greenville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Owen Mcgreevey, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcgreevey has scored all season. Chace Drew was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.

West Carrollton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Greenville, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for West Carrollton against Greenville in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 68-39 victory. Will West Carrollton repeat their success, or does Greenville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
