Recap: Liberty Indians vs. Washingtonville Wizards
The Liberty Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-33 loss at the hands of Washingtonville.
Zion Lynch was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds for Washingtonville. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Brownlee, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Washingtonville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Liberty is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Sullivan West at 6:30 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Washingtonville, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pine Bush at 6:00 p.m. Pine Bush and Washingtonville are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
