Baseball Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

Skyview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-6 to the George Washington Patriots. One positive for the Wolverines, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Christian Montes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI. That hit was his first of the season. Justin Contreras was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for George Washington, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Skyview will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vista PEAK Prep at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for George Washington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-0 victory against Kennedy on the 18th.
