Volleyball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Triumphs

Hialeah Educational Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators. The victory continues a trend for the Biggie in their matchups with the Aviators: they've now won eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-16.

Kenny Beltran paced Hialeah Educational Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Beltran really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 21. Fabian Menendez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The win got Hialeah Educational Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Academy for Innovative Education, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hialeah Educational Academy will square off against Divine Savior Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Academy for Innovative Education, they will face off against Pinecrest Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pinecrest Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Academy for Innovative Education surely won't give up without a fight.
