4A Conference 13 recap December 3, 2013
Middle Creek was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Garner Magnet. The Mustangs came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 13 this week, Middle Creek beat the Trojans 24-21. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Green Hope's Luke Massei and Elijah Murrane led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Massei has thrown for 2,450 yards this season, while Murrane has 76 catches for 935 yards. Athens Drive's Dominique Lynch leads the league in rushing yards with 1,370.
In 170 carries Trevion Hackney has accumulated 902 yard this year.
So far this year, he has garnered 76 catches for 935 yards.
The Mustangs and Garner Magnet played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Mustangs eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory.
