Basketball Recap: Skipstone Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian School of Griffin, Skipstone Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers out 52-50. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

It was another big night for Scooter Barkley, who posted 36 points. Nick Cloud was another key player, putting up eight points.

Skipstone Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

When Skipstone Academy and CrossPointe Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Skipstone Academy will try to stop Flint River Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skipstone Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, CrossPointe Christian Academy will square off against Holy Ground Baptist Academy and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
