Softball Game Preview: Carvers Bay Bears vs. Latta Vikings

Carvers Bay is 0-10 against Latta since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Neither Carvers Bay nor Latta posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Carvers Bay's offense. They fell just short of Waccamaw by a score of 1-0 two weeks ago. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carvers Bay saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Port, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Latta's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Sumter by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Vikings seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Carvers Bay's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Latta, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Carvers Bay might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Latta in their previous meeting on April 4th. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
