The Madison Mohawks will take on the Brookville Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Madison is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Dayton Christian just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the WARRIORS by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mohawks have suffered since April 4th.

Caden Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ashley, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Brookville came up short against Waynesville on Friday and fell 15-12. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Brookville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Madison was able to grind out a solid win over Brookville in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 10-5. Will the Mohawks repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
