Softball Recap: 12 Straight Road Victories for Liberty

Liberty strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Inchelium Hornets get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Jordyn Jeske made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Liberty got a massive performance out of Sadie Stout, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was Stout's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lillie Unruh, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .622. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Liberty's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Inchelium, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hornets beat Liberty by a score of 19-4 later that day.
