Recap: West Cowboys vs. Marion-Franklin Red Devils
The West Cowboys were the 75-70 winner over the Marion-Franklin Red Devils when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. West fell 72-62 to Marion-Franklin on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (60), West still had to take the loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marion-Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carmelo Dorsey, who scored 20 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Terry Black was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
West now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Marion-Franklin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will be home for the holidays to greet Eastmoor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion-Franklin will be home for the holidays to greet South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
