Churchill had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Marshall Rams on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Churchill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Marshall lost, don't look at Nia Escobedo. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and one assist.

Churchill has already played their next matchup (against Providence Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marshall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northeast Early College on the 14th.
