Soccer Recap: Carolina Forest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hartsville last Tuesday, Carolina Forest came back down to earth. The Carolina Forest Panthers fell just short of the West Florence Knights by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Kassi Javetski wasn't going to let West Florence walk away unscathed as she scored both of Carolina Forest's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Carolina Forest's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for West Florence, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Carolina Forest will take on Socastee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Socastee's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for West Florence, they will challenge Sumter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Sumter: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while West Florence has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
