It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dixie County had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Union County Fighting Tigers 6-5. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Fighting Tigers on their field since February 19, 2021.
Dixie County got a big performance out of Skyliar Love, who went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaciee Brown, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Dixie County and bumps their season record up to 7-14. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.
