Lake View scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hemingway Tigers. The defeat leaves the Wild Gators without a win on the season.

It was another big night for Xavier Washington, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds for Hemingway. Those 26 points gave Washington a new career-high. Jalyrious Bell was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

Lake View's record now sits at 0-8. As for Hemingway, their victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dillon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lake View likes a good challenge. As for Hemingway, they will venture away from home to challenge Johnsonville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
