Basketball Recap: Temple Baptist Academy Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Tennessee Christian Prep wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Temple Baptist Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Noah Mueller. The Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders put the hurt on the Tennessee Christian Prep Hawks with a sharp 43-23 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Mueller, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Temple Baptist Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Padgett, who posted six points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rebounds (four).

The victory made it two in a row for Temple Baptist Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Temple Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-48 win against Apostolic Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Tennessee Christian Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
