Owen Brunni turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Monday. He struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Monroe back in April of 2025, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock.

Even though Brunni couldn't lead Everett over Monroe, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seagulls will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 125 places lower in Washington), but they're not letting that get them down.
