Aiden Dabbondanza leads a balanced attack to beat Churchill

Recap: Magruder Colonels vs. Churchill Bulldogs

The Magruder Colonels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Churchill by a score of 74-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Magruder got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Dabbondanza out in front who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Gerald Suarez, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Magruder's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Churchill, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Magruder and Seneca Valley will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Seneca Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 198 points over their last three contests. Churchill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wootton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
