Soccer Game Preview: South Houston vs. Cesar E. Chavez

The South Houston Trojans will kick their season off against the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

Cesar E. Chavez is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering College Station just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The loss was the Lobos' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, they fell to 4-1.

As for South Houston, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (3-9-2), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

South Houston was able to grind out a solid win over Cesar E. Chavez when the teams last played back in January of 2016, winning 3-1. Does South Houston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cesar E. Chavez turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
