Kenwood entered their tilt with Solorio on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Sun Warriors by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 12-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jimmy Downs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Kenwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damaurion Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Butler is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Kenwood pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Solorio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Kenwood will challenge Lindblom at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Solorio will be paying especially close attention to the Broncos' matchup: after the Broncos face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Solorio again at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
