Baseball Recap: Franklin Has No Trouble Against Robbinsville

Franklin never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Robbinsville on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Black Knights.

Isaiah Deas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Anderson Terrell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Franklin: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gunner McConnell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Robbinsville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
