Soccer Recap: Cathedral Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cathedral can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bishop Amat Lancers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss back in January.

Cathedral's goal came courtesy of Angel Sandres, who's now up to 13 this season.

Cathedral's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Bishop Amat, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Amat, they will welcome El Segundo at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with El Segundo sitting on three straight victories and Bishop Amat on 18.
