Soccer Recap: Southside Christian Comes Up Short

Southside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Palmetto Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Palmetto this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on March 6th.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Palmetto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southside Christian will take on rival St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Palmetto is set to square off against their familiar foe Powdersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
