Concordia was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in North Central Kansas. The Panthers beat Marysville 29-20 earlier in the week.

Wamego added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Abilene, 49-35. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Red Raiders.

Kyler Alderson threw for 258 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Tyler Bisnette made the biggest impact on defense this week as Clay Center beat Chapman. The 5-foot-8 senior racked up 1 sack.

Alderson put up the best numbers through the air as Wamego bested the Cowboys. Alderson's favorite target this week was Trenton York, who caught 6 passes for 190 yards.

Dale Burkeholder's team's Alderson and York have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Alderson has thrown for 1,374 yards this season, while York has 23 catches for 541 yards. The Tigers' Kody Gregory leads the league in rushing yards with 318.

The top two teams in North Central Kansas will face off this week when first place Wamego takes on second place Clay Center. Last week, the Red Raiders beat Abilene, while Clay Center defeated the Fighting Irish.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Wamego's York goes up against Todd Rice's team's Alec MacLean.

Next week's game between the Red Raiders and the Tigers will feature a good passing match up as Alderson will test his arm against MacLean's defensive ability.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Wamego takes on Clay Center. The Red Raiders have allowed 56 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 67. Wamego allowed 35 points last week as it defeated Jeff Geist's team.

There should be lots of points scored when the Red Raiders and Clay Center face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Wamego comes in having scored 213 this season, while the Tigers have scored 104. The Red Raiders scored 49 points last week as they bested the Cowboys.

Clay Center took down Chapman 27-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gregory threw for 110 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 82 yards in the win.
