If Roane County was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Webster County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Elizabeth Greathouse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ava Martin, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 9-5. As for Fairmont Senior, their record is now 6-7-1.

While Roane County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
