Soccer Game Preview: Woodcreek vs. Antelope

The Woodcreek Timberwolves will head out to face off against the Antelope Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Woodcreek is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Rio Americano two weeks ago as Woodcreek made off with a 5-1 win. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Raiders are ranked 751st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodcreek hit Rio Americano with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ty Branigan (2), Vince Noble (2), and Travis Russell.

Meanwhile, Antelope came tearing into last Monday's match with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Knights onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Titans yet this season.

Woodcreek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. As for Antelope, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-1.
