Softball Recap: Diamond Bar Comes Up Short

Diamond Bar extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 8-10 in the process. They came up short against the Glendora Tartans, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that the Brahmas have lost by exactly six runs.

As for Glendora, their win bumped their record up to 15-8. Considering they have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Glendora's part, not much got past Gianna Messick, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Diamond Bar off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Bowers, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Torres, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Diamond Bar and Glendora will both be playing Claremont the next time they take the field. The Brahmas will head out to face the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Tartans will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
