Volleyball Recap: Collierville Falls Short Against Ranked Marion

Collierville is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Marion. The Dragons fell 3-1 to the Patriots. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 25-16.

This is the second loss in a row for Collierville and nudges their season record down to 15-8-1. As for Marion, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Collierville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cookeville on the 19th. As for Marion, they will be playing at home against Mountain Home at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
