Baseball Recap: Valley Drops Season-High Score on Fort Morgan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They were the clear victors by a 19-10 margin over the Fort Morgan Mustangs on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Andrew Renken was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Seth Kissler, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Valley now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Fort Morgan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Valley will face off against rival Eaton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fort Morgan is set to take on their familiar foe Platte Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
