Softball Game Preview: Enterprise Hornets vs. Redding Christian Lions

Enterprise is a perfect 4-0 against Redding Christian since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Enterprise Hornets are taking a road trip to take on the Redding Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. Redding Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Enterprise, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Enterprise beat Trinity 15-10.

Carly Graham made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Graham was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, Rachel Hess was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maya Hubbs, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity only posted a batting average of .154.

Meanwhile, Redding Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Trinity, falling 10-0.

Redding Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Enterprise, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Enterprise beat Redding Christian 13-10 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enterprise since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
