Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Central Heights Vikings

The Northeast Vikings will take on the Central Heights Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-34, which was the final score in Northeast's tilt against Southeast on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered against the Lancers since January 4, 2019.

Meanwhile, Central Heights lost to Jayhawk Linn on the road by a 30-12 margin on Tuesday. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Northeast will have to keep a close watch on Addison Ouellette and Arabella Dunbar, a pair of players who had a big impact on Central Heights' prior game. Ouellette posted five points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Dunbar had no points. That was a full 41.7% of Central Heights' points, marking the fifth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Abigail Roullett also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.
