Volleyball Recap: Stryker Comes Up Short

Stryker suffered their biggest loss since September 5, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Hilltop Cadets, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hilltop scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Brooklyn Kuszmaul was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

The defeat snapped Stryker's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. As for Hilltop, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Stryker has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Parkway on the 2nd. As for Hilltop, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Liberty Center on the 2nd.
