Basketball Recap: Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Takes a Loss

Drayton/Valley-Edinburg was the 58-50 winner over Larimore when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans fell 53-40 to the Larimore Polar Bears on Tuesday.

Jace Collison continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Larimore, shooting 6-for-11 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Collison has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Avery Gratton, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Drayton/Valley-Edinburg's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Larimore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

When Drayton/Valley-Edinburg and Larimore next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will take on Midway/Minto and their five-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Larimore will try to stop Warwick's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
