Baseball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menomonie Mustangs. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 10-5 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Superior saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayce Rue, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Tripp Row was another, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Superior now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Menomonie, their record is now 7-5.

While Superior had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
