Basketball Game Preview: Kenston Bombers vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Kenston Bombers will take on the Independence Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Kenston didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Woodridge, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win.

Kenston found their leader in sophomore Jackson Alotta, who went 7 of 12 en route to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alotta has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Schurr, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Independence came up short against Trinity on Friday and fell 69-62. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Kenston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
