Recap: Saucon Valley Panthers vs. Lehighton Indians
The Saucon Valley Panthers''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Lehighton 14-13. The victory was just what Saucon Valley needed coming off of a 40-14 defeat in their prior matchup.
Constantine Donahue threw for 28 yards while completing 100% of his passes. Jack Robertson was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Jared Rohn rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
Saucon Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lehighton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saucon Valley will square off against Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Jim Thorpe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Jim Thorpe is ranked 349th, while Lehighton is ranked 340th).
