Baseball Game Preview: East Burke Cavaliers vs. Bandys Trojans

The East Burke Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Bandys Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Burke's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Bandys' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

East Burke took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Maiden.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Bandys was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to West Lincoln.

Bandys saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Serventi, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

East Burke's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bandys, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

East Burke was able to grind out a solid win over Bandys in their previous matchup on March 7th, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Burke since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
