Volleyball Recap: Christ Church Episcopal's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christ Church Episcopal came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Carolina Day Wildcats 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Christ Church Episcopal took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Carolina Day saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sofia Carson had 37 assists. Carson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Christ Church Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Carolina Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

The future could be bright for both Christ Church Episcopal and Carolina Day: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Cavaliers will look to extend St. Joseph's Catholic's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carolina Day will try to hand Tri-Cities Christian their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
