The Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 victory over Calhoun Academy. This was payback for Andrew Jackson Academy, who suffered a 66-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Andrew Jackson Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gage Dicks out in front who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Dicks' 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hall Sease, who scored 19 points.
Andrew Jackson Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Calhoun Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Edisto won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. The timing is sure in North's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Edisto has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Calhoun Academy will take on Clarendon Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
