While Lincoln North Star's win against Pius X wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Navigators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Thunderbolts on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Navigators as they're now sitting on five straight.

Elsie Schmidt paced Lincoln North Star's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schmidt got some help from Alex Kroll and her 34 assists. Lauren McKernan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lincoln North Star's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Pius X, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

Lincoln North Star didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lincoln Southeast on the 4th. As for Pius X, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marian on the 4th.
