Baseball Recap: Coalgate Takes a Loss

Coalgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Durant Lions.

Easton Loudermilk made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Loudermilk wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Coalgate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Coalgate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Durant, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coalgate will host Vanoss at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Coalgate is facing Vanoss at the right time seeing as Vanoss is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Durant, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Durant Lions take on Tahlequah Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
