Basketball Recap: Clarksville Comes Up Short

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Springfield Yellow Jackets. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Clarksville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Springfield, the victory snapped their losing streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 4-14 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Clarksville Wildcats challenge the Dickson County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, they will challenge Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
