Baseball Recap: Douglass Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

Douglass waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the International High School at Largo Sea Turtles a 19-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-6 back in March.

Eric Guzman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Arrington Price, III, who earned three runs and four stolen bases.

Douglass pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for International High School at Largo, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
