Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Porter

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Porter walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 victory over the College Station Cougars on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while the Cougars are ranked 172nd).

Porter has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-16 record this season. As for College Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-11.

As of now, neither Porter nor College Station have any future games scheduled.
