Oaks won the last time they faced Southern Prep Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mighty Oaks blew past the Rangers 70-50. The Mighty Oaks pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rangers cut but never quite recovered from.

Oaks can attribute much of their success to Joey Allen, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Elisha Hallmark, who scored 13 points.

Oaks has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Oaks will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Southern Prep Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Mighty Oaks' contest: after the Mighty Oaks face off against The Rock Academy, they'll take on Southern Prep Academy again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
