Softball Game Preview: North Monterey County Condors vs. Soledad Aztecs

The North Monterey County Condors will face off against the Soledad Aztecs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, North Monterey County didn't have quite enough to beat Stevenson and fell 5-4.

Julia Oliva made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Soledad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Carmel, falling 16-5.

Soledad's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for North Monterey County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

North Monterey County took their victory against Soledad when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Condors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aztecs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
